To all you hardcore blog checkers who are making the rounds even on Thankgiving Day.
One of the many things I'm thankful for is the supportive online community of spiritual sojourners who keep tabs on me with encouragement as well as accountability.

Hey...it's me again. I've been reading a book called "Falling for God: Saying Yes to His Extravagent Proposal". I have some issues with the book but you take the good with the bad. Anyway, the author mentions an old church father's writings - John of the Cross. I don't know where to find his stuff but I thought of you. John talks of "dark night of the soul" experiences that occur when we are following God and suddenly stop feeling the closeness we once felt. If you have time and can find it you might want to check it out. Just a thought. If you do find anything, you can fill me in at thekids_99@yahoo.com.
